Requesting access to The Maps

When you fill in the “Request access” form, we collect: your first name, last name, work email, company, job title and country, as well as the size of your sales team, the CRM you use, the approximate number of companies it contains and, if you wish, what you expect from the map.

Using the app

If you use The Maps, we process your account email address (to sign you in with a magic link) and the CRM access you authorize. Your CRM data (companies, contacts, deals) is read live from your CRM to display the map: it is not copied to our systems. We only keep, encrypted, the access keys to your CRM and, for display purposes, the address and geographic coordinates of your companies, without their names.

If you connect Gmail, we keep the connected address and an encrypted key that only allows sending the emails you approve: The Maps never reads your inbox.

This data is hosted by Supabase in Paris (European Union). When you disconnect, access keys are deleted immediately and Gmail access is revoked with Google.

Cookies and analytics

The themaps.io website uses HubSpot cookies to measure traffic and link your visits to an access request. They are only set with your consent, collected through the banner shown when you arrive, and kept for 13 months at most. You can change your mind at any time via the “Cookie settings” link at the bottom of the page.

Who has access to your data

Your data is never sold or rented. Only the publisher has access to it, along with the technical providers who host it on our behalf:

CRM and website forms, analytics.

Supabase

Database and app sign-in, in Paris (EU).

Netlify

Website hosting.

Google

Sending emails from the app, if you connect Gmail.

YouTube (Google)

Playing the demo video, via youtube-nocookie.com: the player and its cookies only load when you start the video.

OpenStreetMap (Nominatim)

Geocoding: only a company's address is sent, within Europe.

Some of these providers are based in the United States. Any data transfers outside the European Union are covered by the safeguards provided by the GDPR (European Commission standard contractual clauses or the Data Privacy Framework).

Your rights

You have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict, object to and port your data, as well as the right to withdraw your consent at any time. To exercise these rights, write to contact@themaps.io. We will reply within one month.

If you believe your rights are not being respected, you can file a complaint with the CNIL (French data protection authority).

Security

Traffic with the website and the app is encrypted (HTTPS), your CRM access keys are encrypted in our database, and access to the app is by invitation only during the beta.
