Frequently asked questions
Everything you need to know about The Maps during the beta. Another question? Write to us at contact@themaps.io.
What is The Maps?
The Maps turns your CRM data into an interactive map. You see where your customers, prospects, deals and revenue are, you spot signals (deals at risk, interest, cooling relationships) and you act directly from the map.
Do I need to change CRM?
No, quite the opposite: your CRM is the cornerstone of The Maps. It holds your companies, contacts, deals and their history, and The Maps builds your map on top of it. You keep your tools and habits: The Maps connects to your CRM and reads your data live, with no migration and no double entry.
Which CRMs are compatible?
The Maps is currently optimized for HubSpot. HubSpot tracks many signals that are very useful on the map: website visits, campaign opens, sales activity on deals… The Maps turns them into interest, risk or relationship temperature signals.
Other data sources are possible on request: Salesforce, Excel, Airtable or other CRMs. Mention your tool in your access request and we will look into the connection with you.
Who is The Maps for?
The Maps is built for three profiles:
- Sales leaders and managers : CEOs, sales directors, Heads of Sales, country managers, territory managers and sales managers. They manage their territory, revenue and teams from a single overview.
- Field teams : sales reps, field sales reps, SDRs and BDRs. They know where to act, who to contact and plan their prospecting directly from the map.
- Public stakeholders : elected officials, senators, local authorities and regions. They understand their territory, track their networks of influence and combine their data with Open Data.
How do I get access?
The Maps is in closed beta. Fill in the “Request access” form. Every request is reviewed personally, and we get back to you by email within 48 business hours.
How much does it cost?
During the beta, The Maps is free, subject to approval of your request and for a limited period agreed with you. After that, pricing is tailored to the volume of your data.
How does setup work?
You receive a sign-in link by email, then connect HubSpot in a few clicks from the official authorization screen (you need to be an admin of the HubSpot account). Your companies appear on the map. Nothing to install.
Is there a volume limit?
During the beta, The Maps places up to 1,000 companies per HubSpot account (those with at least one deal). The first load can take a few minutes while your addresses are located; after that, the map opens instantly. Have more companies? Write to us and let's talk.
Does The Maps copy my data?
No. Companies, contacts and deals are read live from your CRM. We only keep, encrypted, the access keys to your CRM and the geographic coordinates of addresses, without company names. Everything is hosted in Paris. More details in our privacy policy.
Can The Maps change my CRM?
Only when you choose to: the notes and tasks you create from the map, or marking a deal as lost when you decide to. The Maps never makes changes without your action and never deletes a company, contact or deal.
